The children ignored college nowadays, and we left at 7:00 this morning to head to my sister's house. She lives in Illinois, approximately an hour west of Chicago. We used to go to pretty a great deal once a year, but we failed to pop out here remaining 12 months for some reason. The remaining time i was here, I ran the Chicago Marathon! The kids usually like to go to Aunt Jeanie, so they were really enthusiastic about it.
at the beginning, Jeanie became going to be running a marathon on Sunday, that is why we decided to come out here this weekend (to cheer her on on the race). about a month in the past, she injured her hip, and in the long run determined to exchange over to the half of marathon instead. i'm still going to watch the race, though--i like spectating races. Hoping for exact climate Sunday!
We added Joey with us, which makes me a little nervous. I simply wish he behaves himself. he's going to be pleased to have some other canine to play with (Jeanie has a basset hound named Remy). He did sincerely well at the entire car experience right here. He sat in the again seat among the kids, and took a snooze on their laps. That become his longest automobile trip by some distance.
the colours in Michigan are truly pretty right now! i like all the reds, oranges, and yellows. no longer a fantastic picture, due to the fact i was inside the vehicle, however you get the idea.
proper when we got to Jeanie's house, i used to be curious to peer what Joey could do with the domestic dog door. Jeanie has a doggy door for Remy, and Joey had in no way used one before (as some distance as we recognise, anyway). Jeanie gave Noah a bowling ball (drilled to his palms) for his birthday. So, she made plans for a private bowling lesson for Noah to do nowadays proper whilst we got here. this night, we are all going bowling so Noah can exercise and display off his new abilties.
day after today, we are going into Wisconsin, in which the race will take vicinity (on Sunday). Jeanie goes to pick up her packet, and we will spend the afternoon there. I suppose we are going to be close to Madison. The last time Jerry and that i went to Madison, we had so much fun! It changed into a amusing little college city, and we loved on foot round and checking out little stores. We had an fantastic pasty from an area called Teddywedgers that a reader advised we try. i am a little worried about making food choice at the same time as i am right here, but i am simply going to treat it like I did ultimate week--consume the stuff I want, however keep the portions small and log the whole lot. this night, i'm going to head for a three-mile run with Jeanie. I don't have plans to do greater going for walks while i'm here, however I imagine we'll live active and stroll the puppies and stuff like that. again, i'll be happy if i can just keep my weight this week!
