happy Motivational Monday! i hope every body had a super weekend. i was at my sister's residence in Illinois all weekend, and it became a laugh to go to. I hadn't been there on account that I ran the Chicago Marathon in 2013 (which simply feels love it was very recently, and now not over two complete years in the past).
I controlled to rely all of my calories whilst i used to be there, and that i failed to cross overboard. I ate greater energy than regular, because we ate out some times, but I nonetheless saved it underneath 2,000 every day. I went for a run with my sister, and we stayed pretty lively all weekend. She sold bowling balls for the kids currently, and we ended up bowling 8 video games at some stage in the weekend. it truly is probably greater than i've bowled within the last 3 years combined! Haha
i'm used to weighing myself day by day at home, so it felt bizarre no longer having the ability to check in at the same time as at Jeanie's residence. i used to be just hoping that my weight wasn't hiking up! I experience like I made excellent selections, although, so with a bit of luck the scale can be kind for my "legitimate" weigh in on Thursday.
here are a few motivational tales to kick off your Monday... enjoy!
Renee ran her 6th half-marathon last weekend, and set a private document by over 10 minutes! It turned into her first-rate half-marathon to date, and at some point of the race, she even decided that she is ready to tackle a full marathon subsequent 12 months at the equal race. (you understand you're having a amazing race when you're already planning destiny races even as you're going for walks!) Renee blogs at With brave Wings She Runs.
Mia flew out from Connecticut to run the Detroit global half-Marathon! She finished with a non-public best of 3:14, shaving 4 mins off of her previous great time. She said it become the high-quality race she's ever run, and she cherished the vibe in Detroit. She's already considering doing the overall marathon there subsequent yr! Mia has truely misplaced 112 pounds over the last three years, and started out strolling a yr and a 1/2 ago. In February, she's going to be running the Florida Keys Ragnar Relay with a couple of my From fat to complete Line teammates, Rik and Carly!
Do you all take into account Jared? I wrote approximately him in Motivational Monday #117. he's been persevering with to ship me updates on his development--he is been dropping weight and taking walks a whole lot of miles internal of his residence. He has never once used being blind as an excuse now not to exercising, and that i find that highly inspiring. anyway, he stated that his footwear have been absolutely worn out (having walked 1,000 miles on them), so I decided to reach out to Altra and ask approximately getting him a new pair of shoes for all his tough work. (He has very huge ft, so I concept Altras would possibly be at ease for him). Altra changed into so type to ship him a pair of shoes! he's continuing his weight loss, and has now misplaced a total of 88 kilos. he is also still taking walks inner of his residence, and has walked over 1,000 miles because June! The thought of strolling that many miles doing laps inner of the residence is thoughts-blowing to me--the very definition of "no excuses"! ;) (unique thanks to Altra for his or her generosity! Jared changed into thrilled with the footwear.)
Congratulations to Renee, Mia, and Jared! Hope everyone has a fantastic week :)
