Motivational Monday #50

today is the one-12 months anniversary of Motivational Mondays! when I first had the idea, I notion it'd be a pleasant "easy post" to throw together as soon as a week; a touch ruin from running a blog. Ha! Motivational Monday posts are extraordinarily time eating ;)  but i get a number of positive remarks approximately them, and i really love to read about everyones accomplishments, so it's really worth the extra time!

some super stories today...

BJ walked a massive wide variety of steps in in the future! (i have had a difficult time getting in 10,000--i'm incredible inspired via this.) The day included: a walk to the health club, spinning elegance, 6.2 mile run, walk domestic, stroll to the Metro, walked to the route of the chinese language New 12 months parade, walk to theater, then a stroll home from the Metro. Whew!



Sharon suffered from intense postpartum depression after her fourth baby, and had hassle with sincerely performing on a daily basis. On her course to restoration, she says she was compelled to get a gymnasium club within the hope that it might help with the depression; she had used all other alternatives. at the beginning, she couldn't even get via a run at the treadmill without crying; however she didn't care who saw her, because she turned into so decided to emerge as healthful, each physically and mentally. She may be very proud to announce that she completed the digital 5K final weekend! That turned into the farthest distance she'd ever run. (i like seeing the smile, Sharon!)



Nicki and her daughters did the Biggest Loser run/walk 5K in Las Cruces last weekend! To add to the excitement, her daughters placed in the top 10 of their age group :)



Last Saturday, Jen completed my Virtual 5K; and her husband was so inspired by her, that he decided to walk 5K on the treadmill the next day! He then came up with the idea to do a 5K every weekend, which inspired Jen to make the same goal. Yesterday, they each completed a second 5K!



Serena is celebrating her two-12 months "healthy me" anniversary! She's misplaced a whopping 138 pounds--precisely half of her beginning weight. After having her 0.33 infant in 2008, she changed into identified with bipolar disorder, and put on medicinal drug. the drugs altered her appetite, to where she felt hungry all of the time. She had already been obese, but she received another seventy three kilos even as on the medication. while she stopped taking the meds, however, she saved the equal habits, and realized that she couldn't use the drugs as a scapegoat anymore. She determined to lose the load the healthy way--consuming much less and shifting more. She tracked her calories, and began on foot around the block. finally, she tried walking a bit... and then a lot. Now, she can run 10+ miles at a sub-10:00 pace!  She stated she feels drastically younger, and much, a great deal happier.


After having her 2d infant, Meg's weight became stuck at 220 pounds, which made her very sad with herself and her weight. Her sadness even affected her relationship along with her husband, in addition to her capability to be the mom she wanted to be. After taking photos for her 2012 Christmas card, she decided she become going to trade her life-style. She took up running, and has lost eighty five kilos during the last year. She's approximately to run her 2nd 5K, and is attempting to paintings up the nerve to check in for a half of-marathon (Do it!! I understand you can!). most significantly, she's glad with herself once more.



Wendy completed her first 5K, The Blacklight Run, on Saturday night time! Her college roommate, Jennifer, and husband, San Juan, endorsed her or even did the race with her so she'd stay stimulated. Wendy's desires were to finish, and to now not be closing--and he or she finished each of them! She finished in 1:05, and is already looking forward to beating her time at any other 5K :)



Charanna has lost a total of 94 pounds since she started her journey in July 2012! She doesn't have photos from when she was her heaviest, because she was too embarrassed to be captured by the camera. Now, however, she's feeling triumphant, victorious, and happy to be photographed!
