nowadays, I actually spent the whole day cleaning the house. The children went to a birthday celebration for some hours, and since it become next door to my mom's residence, she let them stay there all afternoon. I used that time to deep easy all of the bedrooms. It turned into all absolutely dull, until I got to Jerry's and my bedroom closet.
i discovered such a lot of recollections!! And even though Jerry became at work, I completely fell head over heels in love with him once more. he's definitely the sweetest man i've ever recognized. whilst Jerry acts goofy, quite a few people jokingly say to me, "he is yours?!" or "You married that?!" (as an instance, when we were at his softball event and he hiked his pants up into "nut huggers").
I continually giggle and jokingly say something like, "I recognize, I should have been inebriated when I said sure!" however Jerry is this sort of super guy. there may be a facet to him that those human beings do not see, that's what i am about to reveal you.
Jerry likes to draw pictures for me--no longer beautiful, artistic-type drawings, however more cartoon-like drawings. And whilst we were courting, it have become a subculture that he could draw photos at the paper region mats at eating places we went to together. He still does this sometimes, however we don't consume out frequently, so most of the drawings are from 1999-2002 ish. here are a few of my favorites:
I think that's supposed to be a pedestal that I'm on ;) |
"I would swim through the seas for you. Seeing as how I can't swim, I would take a submarine." |
"Lucifer welcomes you to Camp Shane" BAHAHA, Camp Shane was the weight loss camp that I was a counselor at in 2002--it was awful. |
The last one is hard to read...
"You look good in dark blue...
You look hot even with the flu.
But you look best with me on you.
I like it when you're so clean,
And not so mean,
I like it when you're free,
Even when you pee.
I love you as a she,
I would love you as a he."
A poet, Jerry is not... but this made me laugh! Here are a couple of other things I found:
We bought each other the same exact card for Sweetest Day one year. |
Some movie ticket stubs from 2002ish? |
ALL of the letters we wrote to each other when Jerry was in basic training. I'm going to have to read through mine and see how ridiculous I sounded then! |
That's supposed to be the "You are my sunshine" song |
Another of Jerry's lovely poems |
Going through the ones these days become so fun!
A few favorites:
From my favorite uncle |
This one is from my favored aunt--she used to toddler-sit down my brothers, sister, and me whilst we have been kids. She became there whilst we awoke and she were given us off to high school. She would make us some thing we wanted for breakfast. I constantly chose a poached egg on toast. here is what she wrote to Jerry: "right here's a way to make a poached egg for Katie--Boil and egg in water until the white element is set. Make toast while egg is cooking. Butter toast, positioned egg on toast. Sprinkle with salt. reduce into squares. (Katie will eat the middle piece first!) Love and happiness to you both."
This one i'm sure is from my little brother. "in case you men ever consider having youngsters, cross live the night with Tommy & Shannon." Tommy is my cousin, and Shannon is his wife. they've two boys, a couple of years aside in age. Their house turned into constantly chaotic whilst the youngsters were little, which is what my brother changed into referring to. I think this is humorous due to the fact now Jerry and i have two boys, 18 months apart, and OUR house is the chaotic one! i am positive humans could give this same recommendation to others, only changing the names with "Jerry and Katie". ;)
some thing that I do not have anymore, and that i desire extra than anything i'd stored, are my old hand-written journals. I kept a diary ever since i was capable of write, and that i had so many of them. however i would get paranoid that someone might study it, so i would burn them after a yr or so. I would like to look what i was thinking then.
anyway, i'm so glad that I saved all of the snap shots, letters, and notes from Jerry. It totally made my day to come upon that stuff these days!
